Join our team as a Kaiāwhina, where you will work with existing health and community service professionals and organisations to co-ordinate relevant services for, and increase access to, and use of, those services by Whānau.

Mōu | About You

We are seeking someone who can:

  • Collaborate with whānau to develop health plans.

  • Advocate, navigation and face to face support for whānau.

  • Support whānau to achieve maximum health and wellbeing.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or Tertiary qualification in Health Promotion 

  • Current full driver’s license

  • High level of Information technology and administration literacy

  • Clearance under the provisions of the Vulnerable Children’s Act (2014)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to establish rapport with children and whānau

Desirables:

  • Level 6 Certificate in Hauora or similar tertiary qualification

  • Fluency in Te Reo Māori

  • Knowledge of tikanga and local Māori communities.

  • Knowledge of the Treaty of Waitangi and its application in a health and social services context.
