Kaimahi

Meet one of our Poutini Waiora kaimahi, Ian Kearns-Tainui.

Ian is one of our Whānau Ora Navigators here at Poutini Waiora. Our Whānau Ora Navigators work closely with whānau/whaiora (family/clients) across Te Tai o Poutini to understand where they want to go in life - and they work together to get there.

Ian shares his personal story of why he returned home to Te Tai o Poutini, and why he wanted to join our team at Poutini Waiora.

Meet one of our Poutini Waiora kaimahi, Nelly Mason.

Nelly is Poutini Waiora’s Whānau Resilience Lead, and the facilitator of the Ko Wai Au rangatahi programme. The Ko Wai Au programme is focused on building self-esteem and healing trauma from violence for at risk youth across Te Tai o Poutini.

Driven by the pou of the Māori Helath Model - Te Whare Tapa Whā, the programme helps connect rangatahi to their whakapapa, their whenua on Te Tai o Poutini and teaches them real life skills.
