What We Do
Whanau Ora Registered Nurses
We have a community based nursing service in Kawatiri, Mawhera and Hokitika. The service provides comprehensive primary health care for whanau, with a focus on chronic conditions.
An intensive social work service with a focus on whanau with tamariki. Services include: client assessments, development of whanau plans and referral to other services such as counselling or programmes.
A kaupapa Maori community based health promotion and community support service in Kawatiri, Mawhera and Hokitika.
Provides support for whanau to maximize their child’s developmental potential and well-being between between the ages of 0-4 years, establishing a strong foundation for ongoing healthy development. Follows the Well Child Tamariki Ora National Schedule, providing Well Child/Tamariki Ora checks which covers the core contacts, one to seven.
Mama & Pepi
Provides education, support and advice to mothers during pregnancy, following the birth, and up until 2 years of age. Mothers and whanau are supported to develop positive and responsible parenting skills, build self-esteem and confidence.
Advocacy and brokerage for rangatahi into primary health pathways
Supports schools in the Hokitika and Mawhera regions to manage attendance effectively through identifying what school, whanau, community and social service support is required to sustain attendance for students.
A holistic counselling service for whanau, with a focus on a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, relationship and family violence counselling.
Alcohol and Other Drugs Counselling
Alcohol and drug counseling including assessment counselling and treatment plan
Anger Management & Domestic Violence
Counselling service up to 10 sessions per whanau.
Whanau Ora Navigators
Supporting Whanau to attain their moemoea (aspirations) through the development and implementation of whanau centred path plans.
